Kristalina Georgieva, the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), who is in Baku to attend the 29th Session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), shared her impressions of the city.
Axar.az reports that Georgieva expressed her appreciation on social media, praising the city’s stunning architecture and cultural richness and thanking the city for its warm hospitality and productive meetings.
“Took a moment to enjoy the vibrant sights and sounds of Baku on the sidelines of #COP29. From the stunning architecture to the rich culture, this remarkable city truly captivates the senses. Grateful for the warm hospitality and inspiring interactions during my visit!” she wrote.
It should be noted that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met with Kristalina Georgieva, the IMF Managing Director, on November 13.
