Russia and Turkiye continue negotiations on the Syrian issue both in a bilateral format and within international platforms.

Axar.az reports that this statement was made by Andrey Buravov, Russia's Consul General in Istanbul.

"We continue our relations in both bilateral and other international formats, taking into account our country's interests. The results of these negotiations will be felt in the upcoming period," he said.

The Consul General also reminded that Russia is already in contact with the new authorities in Damascus.
