Afghanistan condoles Azerbaijan

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan expressed its condolences to Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports to the press service of the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs that the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Afghanistan Ilham Mammadov met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of this country Alhaj Sher Mohammad Stanekzai.

"Ilham Mammadov met with Alhaj Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanekzai, deputy minister of foreign affairs for political affairs", - it was stated in the information of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan.

It was reported that at the meeting, Stanekzai expressed his condolences on the crash of the civil plane belonging to "Azerbaijan Airlines" and said that Afghanistan is committed to strengthening bilateral relations in the political, economic, and social spheres.

Expressing his gratitude for the condolences of the Afghan government, Mr. Mammadov assessed it as a great manifestation of the spirit of solidarity and brotherhood between the two countries and added that Azerbaijan is interested in expanding political relations with Afghanistan and announced that his country is ready for economic cooperation with Afghanistan, the press service pointed out.

The ambassador also noted that strengthening bilateral relations is of great importance for both countries.
