Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari met with Azerbaijani Minister of Defense Industry Vugar Mustafayev.
Axar.az informs that the Ministry of Defense Industry informed that the Azerbaijani delegation led by the co-chairman of the commission, Minister of Defense Industry Vugar Mustafayev, is on an official visit to Pakistan to participate in the 8th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Pakistan Intergovernmental Joint Commission.
It was reported that the members of the commission - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Elnur Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Economy Samad Bashirli, Deputy Minister of Energy Kamal Abbasov, Deputy Minister of Science and Education Hasan Hasanli, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Pakistan Khazar Farhadov - attended the meeting.
The President of Pakistan expressed his satisfaction with welcoming the Azerbaijani delegation to Pakistan and emphasized that the friendly and brotherly countries successfully cooperate in many areas. He wished success to the activities of the Joint Commission, which makes a worthy contribution to ensuring the interests of Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
V. Mustafayev conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to the President and people of Pakistan.
The Minister informed about the activities of the Intergovernmental Joint Commission and stated that this institution plays an important role in the development of multifaceted cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan and in ensuring the transformation of common goals into real results.
V. Mustafayev emphasized that the decisions taken and agreements reached through the Joint Commission will serve to further expand the partnership relations between the two countries in the future.
