Sargis Khandanyan, a deputy from Armenia’s ruling Civil Contract faction and chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations, has visited Ukraine and met with Ruslan Stefanchuk, the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada.

Axar.az informs that Armenian media reported on the visit.

It was stated that Khandanyan expressed his support for his Ukrainian counterparts, praised their "courageous efforts under difficult circumstances," and emphasized the importance of interparliamentary cooperation.

According to official reports, Khandanyan also visited Bucha to honor the memory of war victims.

Armenian media described the visit as "risky and ill-considered," especially at a time when a phone conversation between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin had taken place, negotiations on Ukraine had begun, and Russia’s ability to focus on the South Caucasus had effectively increased.
