Axar.az reports that while Russia does not oppose Ukraine joining the EU, it firmly rejects its NATO membership.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov emphasized that security and military alliances are separate issues. Moscow reiterated its long-standing demand for NATO to withdraw from central and Eastern Europe.
