Aliyev met the Georgian PM

President Ilham Aliyev met with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze in Antalya on April 11.

Axar.az reports that during the meeting, it was noted that the friendship and strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Georgia are historical.

Recalling with satisfaction his working visit to Azerbaijan in January of this year and his meetings with President Ilham Aliyev during the visit, the Georgian Prime Minister touched upon the expansion of cooperation between the two countries in economic, trade, cultural and other fields, and the work done in those meetings to implement the tasks given to relevant state bodies in this regard.

Irakli Kobakhidze stated that the views expressed by President Ilham Aliyev on bilateral relations during his speech at an international forum at ADA University a few days ago were met with great interest in Georgia.

The head of state, touching upon the importance of unity and solidarity between Azerbaijan and Georgia in the current turbulent situation in the world, noted the importance of resolving regional issues in the South Caucasus region by the countries of the region.

During the conversation, views were exchanged on issues of mutual interest.
