Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has condemned the burning of Turkish and Azerbaijani flags during a torchlight procession held the previous evening in Yerevan, calling it a provocation.

Axar.az informs this was reported by the Prime Minister’s spokesperson, Nazeli Baghdasaryan.

"Prime Minister Pashinyan condemns such practices, considering them irresponsible and unacceptable. The burning of flags of internationally recognized states, especially neighboring countries, cannot be viewed otherwise by a head of state. It is a provocative and inflammatory act," Baghdasaryan stated.

As a reminder, on Wednesday, a traditional march was held in Yerevan to mark the anniversary of the so-called "Armenian genocide."

The rally began at Republic Square. Before the start, participants burned the flags of Turkiye and Azerbaijan.
