In Istanbul (local time - ed.), 51 aftershocks were recorded as of 15:12 (local time - ed.), the largest of which was 5.9.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya.

He noted that the 6.2-magnitude earthquake that occurred in the Sea of ​​Marmara at 12:49 lasted 13 seconds.

It should be noted that a 6.2-magnitude earthquake occurred in Istanbul. Aftershocks continue after the earthquake.

According to him, it has been confirmed that an empty building in the Fatih district has collapsed. There is no other damage.

The minister also added that residents have been evacuated from nine buildings damaged by the earthquake.
