A series of earthquakes struck off the coast of Silivri in Istanbul.
Axar.az reports that AFAD has released information on the events.
The first quake had a magnitude of 3.9. Later, at 12:49 local time, a 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck.
The quake, which occurred at a depth of 6.92 kilometers, was felt in surrounding provinces, especially in Bursa, Yalova, and Tekirdag.

Two more earthquakes, with magnitudes of 4.5 and 4.9, struck the Marmara Sea at 13:02 local time.

Following the 3.9-magnitude earthquake that occurred in Istanbul at 12:19 local time, seven more tremors were recorded.
AFAD has released information on the events.
It was reported that the weakest quake, with a magnitude of 3.4, struck off the coast of Buyukcekmece district, while the strongest, at 6.2, occurred off the coast of Silivri.
The 6.2-magnitude earthquake hit at 12:49,
The 5.9 and 4.4-magnitude quakes at 12:51,
A 4.8-magnitude quake at 13:01,
4.5 and 4.9-magnitude tremors at 13:02,
And a 3.4-magnitude tremor was recorded at 13:07.
AFAD said all relevant institutions and response teams had been mobilized and field scans were underway to assess potential damage and ensure public safety.
"As of now, no reports of destruction have been received, and our relevant units are continuing their field scanning efforts,” the Istanbul governor's office said.
It warned citizens not to enter buildings that were damaged or suspected to be damaged due to the tremors, to avoid using vehicles unless necessary, and to refrain from using mobile networks except in emergencies.
