ICRC to close Baku office on September 3

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) will close its office in Baku on September 3.

Axar.az informs, citing Armenian media, Daphnee Maret, head of the ICRC in Armenia told journalists.

According to her, nevertheless, work will continue with the Azerbaijani authorities.

The organization’s representative recalled that the peace agreement text between Yerevan and Baku stipulates the necessity of working with international organizations to clarify the fate of missing persons. The Red Cross will offer its services as a neutral mediator.
