We are interested in close cooperation with Azerbaijan in various regional formats.
Axar.az reports that this was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
“We see that the dialogue between Baku and the Eurasian Economic Union is strengthening. The participation of the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan as an honorary guest at the meetings of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council is evidence of the already established tradition. The last such event took place in Minsk on September 30 this year.
We positively assess our interaction with Baku, because this year, Azerbaijan is a very active example of our cooperation in various sectors within the CIS. For example, Gabala, Lachin, Ganja, which hosted all three thematic capitals of the CIS…” - she emphasized.
Zakharova noted that Baku's accession to several final documents of the Dushanbe summit on October 10 is commendable:
"Among them are statements by heads of state on cooperation in the fight against international crime and on the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster."
