Snow and strong winds continue across Azerbaijan

According to the National Hydrometeorological Service, as of 9:00 on December 14, windy and rainy weather continues in most parts of the country.

Axar.az reports that according to the service, snow is falling in several regions, and sleet and snow are falling in some areas of Baku and the Absheron Peninsula.

It was reported that the height of the falling snow is 13 in Altyağaj, 10 in Lazada (Gusar), 8 in Khaltan, 4 in Shabran, 3 in Guba, 1 cm in Gobustan, Kalbajar, Lachin, Gakh, Shahdag, and Gubadli.

The amount of precipitation is 9 in Khachmaz, 1 mm in Shahbuz, Gobustan, Lankaran, Astara, Sheki, Oguz, Kurdamir, Yardimli, Lerik, and Jalilabad.

Northwesterly winds are blowing in several areas. The maximum wind speed occasionally reaches 28 m/s in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, 26 in Mingachevir, 20 in Neftchala, and 16 in Gadabay.
