The processes in the world are moving in such a direction that each country should, first of all, strengthen its military potential and security.

Axar.az reports that this idea was expressed by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in an interview with local television channels on January 5.

Recalling the proposal to hold joint military exercises of member countries in Azerbaijan at the Summit of the Turkic States Organization in Gabala, the head of state said:

“I think that there is a need for this, too. We are conducting military exercises with member countries in a bilateral format. Of course, most often with Turkiye, but also with other countries. However, there can be a great symbolic meaning in holding joint military exercises, but at the same time, there is a need for it from a practical point of view.”

President Ilham Aliyev noted that in today's world, there is no such thing as international law. Everyone should forget this. There is strength, there is cooperation, there is alliance, and there is mutual support.
