Russia cites weather for AZAL crash, contradicting Putin

A document regarding the downed AZAL plane was published on the BT News telegram channel.

Axar.az reports that Military expert Adalat Verdiyev shared information about this.

He said that the document was addressed to the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan from the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation:

“It is alleged that the AZAL plane could not land in Russia due to adverse weather conditions and crashed during landing. On this basis, the criminal case was terminated.

These unsuccessful statements are an attempt to evade responsibility for the tragedy. A logical question arises: if the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation sees the blame in "weather conditions, on what basis does it terminate the criminal case?

In this case, the attempt of those responsible for the deaths to evade responsibility is clearly revealed. The Russian side is responsible for the tragedy: the AZAL plane was hit by a missile launched from the Pantsir-S1 air defense complex and later crashed near the Aktau airport, not at the airport itself, as the document tries to describe.

The content of the document signed by the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Bastrykin, directly contradicts the official position voiced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on October 9 in Dushanbe within the framework of the meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of State. At that time, Putin admitted that the AZAL civilian plane crashed as a result of air defense operations by the Russian Armed Forces and stated that he was ready to "do everything required in such situations."

Now it turns out that Russia again "does not recognize its owner," or Bastrykin does not recognize President Putin and denies him.

It should be noted that Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stated that the letter sent to Azerbaijan by the Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, in which he shared information about the termination of the criminal case regarding the crash of the AZAL plane, caused great surprise in Azerbaijan.
