Crew rescued from wrecked Iranian ship

Today, January 14, the Turkmen Coast Guard received an SOS signal from the wrecked Iranian cargo ship "Rona".

Axar.az informs that this was reported in a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

It was noted that the relevant state bodies of Turkmenistan took all necessary rescue measures in accordance with international maritime regulations:

"As a result of timely measures, all 14 people on board were rescued. According to preliminary information, these are citizens of Iran and India.

Currently, the Turkmen side is implementing the relevant procedures stipulated by international regulations."
