Wage payment rules changed

The rules for the payment of wages have been amended.

Axar.az reports that this is reflected in the Law on Amendments to the Labor Code approved by President Ilham Aliyev.

Previously, monthly wages were to be paid to employees twice a month, as a rule, in two parts (in advance and in the amount of the remaining part) with an interval of no more than sixteen days. Employees whose wages are calculated for an annual period should be paid at least once a month.

According to the law, wages must be paid to employees at least once a month. By mutual agreement of the parties, monthly wages can be paid in two parts (in advance and in the amount of the remaining part) twice a month with an interval of no more than sixteen days.
