A meeting was held between Leyla Aliyeva and Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali.
Axar.az reports that during the conversation, the current state and prospects of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Ethiopia were discussed in detail.
During the meeting, which was held in an atmosphere of sincere dialogue, Leyla Aliyeva conveyed the greetings of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the other party and invited the Prime Minister to visit our country on behalf of the head of state.
Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali accepted the invitation with great pleasure, spoke highly of the President of Azerbaijan, and expressed his kind words.
The Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the rapid development process taking place in our country. He particularly emphasized the far-sighted policy pursued by President Ilham Aliyev and his high authority in the international community, and spoke about the importance of deepening cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
The meeting also provided information on the large-scale restoration and construction work carried out in the territories liberated from occupation.
It was emphasized that the successful experience of the COP29 event hosted by Azerbaijan in November 2024 was met with great interest. The possibilities of applying this experience at the COP32 conference to be held in Ethiopia in 2027 were discussed. The importance of exchanging experience between the two countries in this important area was once again emphasized.
