The 12th summit of the Developing Eight (D-8) movement will be held in Jakarta on April 15.

On the eve of the summit, an informal meeting of D-8 commissioners was held in Lahore on February 5-6. The meeting discussed strengthening the organization's Secretariat, financial and administrative issues, as well as strategies for expanding cooperation between member countries.
The meeting brought together commissioners from all D-8 countries, including Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Turkiye, and Pakistan, as well as D-8 Secretary General Ambassador Sohail Mahmud.
The representatives discussed practical measures to increase institutional efficiency, accelerate the implementation of priority projects, and strengthen cultural and economic ties between the countries. As part of the visit, the participants also visited historical and cultural sites in Lahore and participated in the Basant festival.
The participants of the meeting noted the success of the event and expressed their readiness to continue developing cooperation, strengthening cultural ties, and expanding exchanges between the peoples of the D-8 countries.
