Armenia uses heavy artillery - Tension on frontline

Armenian armed units violated ceasefire using 60, 82 and 120 mm mortars, large-caliber machine guns, rocket-propelled grenades as well as heavy artillery with Azerbaijan 121 times on various parts of the contact line of Azerbaijani and Armenia troops over the past 24 hours, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said on April 4.

Armenian armed units stationed on nameless uplands and in the villages Berkaber, Paravakar of Armenia’s Ijevan district, in Voskevan village of Noyemberyan district fired on the positions of Azerbaijani armed forces on nameless uplands and in Gizilhajili, Gushchu Ayrim villages of Azerbaijan’s Gazakh district, Kohnagishlag of Agstafa district.

Moreover, Azerbaijani positions located on nameless uplands of Gadabay district came under fire from Armenian positions located on nameless uplands of Krasnoselsk district.

Another ceasefire violation came from the positions located in Gulustan village of Goranboy district, Goyarkh, Yarimcha, Chilaburt, Chayli villages of Terter district, Shikhlar, Bash Karvand, Javahirli, Sarijali, Kangarli, Novruzlu, Namirli villages of Aghdam district, Kuropatkino of Khojavend district, Garakhanbeyli, Horadiz, Gorgan, Ashaghi Seyidahmadli of Fizulu district, Mehdili of Jabrayil district, as well as on nameless uplands in Goygol, Goranboy, Khojavend, Fizuli and Jabrayil districts.

In consideration of the operational situation, Azerbaijani armed forces inflicted 125 strikes on enemy positions.
