Axar.az reports that the statement came from Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Cahid Bagci during a meeting with Akhiska Turks in Saatli region today.

"Akhiska Turks, who lived in exile for three centuries, were placed in Saatli region on the initiative of national leader Heydar Aliyev. Today, about 20,000 Akhiska Turks live in 13 cities. We cut bread and drank tea with our compatriots. We congratulated on the upcoming Eid al-Adha. We conveyed the greetings of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Turkey. We entrusted the Turkish flag. They pressed our flag in their hearts with tears," the ambassador said.
