An unexploded bomb weighing 300 kilograms was defused in northern Vietnam during the Indo-Chinese War in the middle of the last century.
Axar.az informs that this was reported by Zan Chi newspaper.
The shell was found during the repair of a bridge in the northern Vietnamese province of Son La.
Experts have determined that the shell was an air bomb dropped by French planes during the 1946-1954 war. Soldiers of the fortification unit of the Vietnamese People's Army, who arrived at the scene, removed the shell from the construction site and neutralized it.
It should be noted that about 20 percent of Vietnam's territory is still unexploded ordnance, and it will take at least three centuries to completely clear it.
