On April 12, the parliamentary delegation led by the Speaker of the Milli Majlis, Sahiba Gafarova, arrived on a business trip to St. Petersburg, Russia, to participate in the Council and 55th plenary sessions of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly.

Axar.az reports that the delegation includes deputies Nizami Safarov, Mikhail Zabelin, Rasim Musabayov, Arzu Nagiyev, head of the Milli Majlis Office Farid Hajiyev and other officials.

Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg Nikolay Bondarenko, Secretary General of the CIS PA Council Dmitri Kobitsky, Consul General of Azerbaijan in St. Petersburg Sultan Gasimov, Permanent Representative of the Milli Majlis to the CIS PA Aydin Jafarov and other officials met the delegation at the Pulkovo Airport of St. Petersburg.

Within the framework of the visit, the speaker of the Milli Majlis, Sahiba Gafarova, is scheduled to speak at the 55th plenary session of the CIS PA and meet with the leaders of the delegations of the participating countries
