Statement from AFAD regarding the seismic station in Shusha

Our first seismic station abroad started operating in the city of Shusha, a friendly and brotherly country, Azerbaijan. The station, which was created as a result of the cooperation of the Emergency Management Agency of the Republic of Turkiye (AFAD) and the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), has the ability to monitor earthquakes that occur anywhere in the world.

Axar.az reports that this was stated in the statement of AFAD.

Information about the station was brought to the attention of the statement, which includes the words "Let the Deep Well Seismic Station, which is a new step of deep and solid cooperation between our countries, be an occasion for good things."

A special video about the station has been added to the sharing.

It should be recalled that the memorandum of understanding between ANAS and AFAD on cooperation on earthquake monitoring systems was signed on September 7 last year.
