Stephen James Hubbard, a 72-year-old American, has pleaded guilty in a Moscow court to charges of fighting for Ukraine.

Axar.az reports that captured by Russian forces in 2022, Hubbard admitted receiving payment to join Ukraine's defense. If convicted, he could face up to 15 years in prison. His sister denies the claims, stating Hubbard is a pacifist.
He is the first U.S. citizen to be tried in Russia for mercenary activities linked to the Ukraine conflict.
