The president of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, former Prime Minister of Cameroon Philemon Yang will visit Azerbaijan.

Axar.az informs that Mariam Shaikh, communications adviser to the Chairman of the General Assembly, said this in her statement.

The UN official added that the President of the General Assembly will visit Baku within the framework of the COP29 conference, which will be held in our country on November 11-22 this year under the chairmanship of Azerbaijan. He accepted the invitation of the government of Azerbaijan and will participate in the opening of COP29.

The consultant added that F. Yang will participate in high-level events and discussions in Baku within the framework of COP29 and hold a number of meetings.
