On January 13, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan in Abu Dhabi.

Axar.az reports that the President of the United Arab Emirates recalled with pleasure his official and COP29-related visits to Azerbaijan in 2024, the meetings and discussions held with the head of our state within the framework of these visits.

Once again appreciating the participation of the President of the United Arab Emirates in COP29, the head of state noted that Azerbaijan's cooperation with the United Arab Emirates and the concept of this country also played a role in the successful completion of this important international event.

The heads of state said that our relations have the nature of a strategic partnership and emphasized the existence of friendly and brotherly relations between Azerbaijan and the UAE. It was noted that stability and peace reign in our countries at the moment.

Saying that our political relations are at a perfect level, President Ilham Aliyev noted the expansion of economic and commercial relations and emphasized that the investments made by the United Arab Emirates in the renewable energy sector of Azerbaijan are an example of our friendship and partnership. It was also noted that our countries cooperate closely in the field of traditional energy.

During the conversation, views were exchanged on bilateral, regional, global, and also issues of mutual interest.
