Lebron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo have expanded their leads in second returns of fan votes for the 2019 NBA All-Star Game, set to held in Charlotte, North Carolina on Feb. 17.
Axar.az reports citing Independent.
The L.A. Lakers’ James is leading the Western Conference and the league with 2,779,812 votes while the Milwaukee Bucks' Giannis has 2,670,8161 votes to lead the Eastern Conference.
Dallas Mavericks' rookie sensation Luka Doncic continued to get the votes from fans (2,220,077), ranking second in the Western Conference frontcourt and second among all western players.
The 2019 NBA All-Star Game will follow last year’s format: The two team captains will draft rosters from the pool of players voted as starters and reserves in each conference, making their picks regardless of conference affiliation.
The captains will be the All-Star starter from each conference who receives the most fan votes in his conference.
Fans account for 50 percent of the vote to determine the 10 starters for the NBA All-Star Game, while NBA players and a media panel have 25 percent apiece.
