Mbappe breaks Messi's Champions League record

Paris Saint-Germain's French striker Kylian Mbappe broke Argentinian superstar Lionel Messi's Champions League record as the youngest player to net 15 Champions League goals.

Axar.az reports citing Anadolu Agency.

On Tuesday's match which is played between Belgian team Club Brugge and Paris Saint-Germain at Jan Breydelstadion, 20-year-old’s outstanding performance played an important role in the win for his team.

PSG beat Brugge 5-0 as Mbappe helped his team by scoring a hat-trick.

With the hat-trick, Mbappe also became the youngest player to score three goals in a single Champions League match.

When Messi reached his 15th goal he was aged 21 -- smashing Real Madrid legend Raul Gonzalez's record -- but Mbappe broke the record in 20.
