Azerbaijani judoka Zelim Kotsoyev has started competing in the Summer Olympic Games in Paris, the capital of France.

Axar.az reports that the world champion in the 100 kg weight category faced Pyotr Kucera (Poland) in the 1/8 final stage.

Kotsoyev, who defeated his opponent, advanced to the 1/4 finals.
