The "Soyuz-2.1b" rocket took off from the "Sharq" cosmodrome together with the "Fregat" booster block, the Meteor-M hydrometeorological apparatus No. 2-4, 17 Russian and one Iranian small satellite.

The rocket was launched at 08:43:26 Moscow time. After only 9 minutes and 23 seconds, the rocket launched the reinforced block together with the satellites into low earth orbit.

Before the launch, Iran's Minister of Information and Communication Technologies Isa Zarepour said that the Pars-1 satellite would be put into orbit by a Russian rocket for the interests of Iranian scientists.
