No evidence shooting tied to Iran conflict, Trump says

President Donald Trump said the suspect in the shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner rushed a security checkpoint from approximately “50 yards away,” despite “very, very secure” conditions at the venue.

Axar.az reports, citing CBS, speaking after the incident, Trump stated that: "These people, they're crazy," and called the attacker a "whack job."

Asked whether the shooting was linked to the ongoing war in Iran, Mr. Trump said he did not believe that was the case, but investigators are still gathering information.
