The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) has showcased the MD-series supersonic unmanned aerial vehicle.
Axar.az informs that this was reported by the South China Morning Post.
The video particularly highlights one of these aircraft taking off from a high-altitude balloon. The Academy stated that it reached a speed of Mach 7 and then successfully landed.
It is worth noting that the new MD-22 aircraft was presented at the Zhuhai Airshow last year.
The video also features the MD-19 model.
According to open-source information, the MD-22 is 10.8 meters long, 4.5 meters wide, and has a flight range of up to 8,000 km with a speed of Mach 7.
