Mass protests against the government have started in Cairo, the capital of Egypt.
Axar.az reports that according to local Telegram channels and media reports, protesters are chanting slogans against President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
The protests are fueled by the country's worsening economic situation, violations of human rights, and government corruption.
Additionally, the announcement of a new presidential palace project costing $45 billion has been cited as a trigger for the protests.
Protesters are also playing the famous "Ash-Shab Yurid Isqat An-Nizam" song from the Arab Spring era.
