Finland is ready to recognize the State of Palestine.

Axar.az reports that Finnish President Alexander Stubb stated this on his social media account.

“The recognition of a state is the president’s decision, but it must be based on a proposal from the government. If such a proposal to recognize Palestine is made, I am ready to accept it. Whether or not the proposal is made is up to the government. I understand that Finns have different views and concerns regarding the recognition of Palestine. However, I want to promote open, honest, and objective discussions on foreign policy issues, including Palestine,” the president emphasized.
