In the near future, all energy resources and logistics routes will be delivered to Turkiye via the Zangezur Corridor.
Axar.az reports that Turkiye's Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar, made this statement to journalists during the inauguration ceremony of the Turkiye–Syria gas pipeline.
According to the minister, Azerbaijani electricity is currently being transmitted to Turkiye via Georgia.
“At the same time, other energy sources and logistics opportunities in Central Asia will also be delivered to Turkiye via Azerbaijan and from there to Europe,” he noted.
Bayraktar added that all projects related to the export of Azerbaijan’s natural resources—oil, gas, and electricity—to Turkiye are being implemented in a parallel and coordinated manner:
“Significant progress has been made in this direction. Among the major projects carried out so far, I can mention the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipeline, and the Nakhchivan-Turkiye electricity interconnector,” the minister emphasized.
