Trump envoy meets Taliban FM in Kabul

US President Donald Trump's envoy for hostage affairs, Adam Boyler, met with Taliban Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi in the Afghan capital, Kabul.

Axar.az reports that the Afghan Foreign Ministry issued a statement on this.

According to the Taliban Foreign Ministry statement, issues related to prisoners of both countries, ways to expand bilateral relations, issues related to citizens, investment, and other issues were discussed at the meeting.

Referring to previous talks between the Taliban and the US in Doha, Amir Khan Muttaqi said:

"Now there is a suitable opportunity for relations to return to normal, and there is no issue in bilateral relations that is so complex that it is difficult to resolve."
