Heavy rainfall triggers floods in Azerbaijan

According to the information as of 11:00 on September 13, rainy weather conditions continue in Azerbaijan, with showers and intense showers in some places.

Axar.az reports that the National Hydrometeorological Service has released information about this.

It was reported that the amount of precipitation was 49 mm in Zagatala (Alibey), 26 mm in Astara, 22 mm in Yevlakh, 18 mm in Gakh, 17 mm in Shabran, 14 mm in Sheki, 13 mm in Lankaran, 9 mm in Ismayilli, 8 mm in Gusar, 7 mm in Mingachevir, 6 mm in Guba, and up to 5 mm in Tovuz, Oghuz, Griz, Khaltan, Altyaghaj, Shamakhi, Gabala, Lerik, Shahdag, Jeyranchol, Tartar, Barda, Yardimli, Goychay, Shamkir, Kurdamir, Gobustan, Ganja, Balakan, Goygol, Zardab, Kalbajar, Lachin, Gubadli, Shusha, Khankendi, Khojaly, Fuzuli, Baku and the Absheron Peninsula.

As a result of the intense and heavy rainfall, floods are occurring in the Balakenchay River, which runs through the Balaken district, and the Talachay River, which runs through the Zagatala district.

The maximum air temperature was recorded at 24 degrees Celsius in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, 17 degrees Celsius in the mountainous regions, and 28 degrees Celsius in the Aran regions and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
