Russian President Vladimir Putin has awarded Deputy Secretary of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, who turns 60 on Sunday, the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland” IV class.
Axar.az informs, citing TASS, according to the decree, Medvedev was awarded “for a major contribution to strengthening Russian statehood and ensuring the national security of the Russian Federation.”
He previously received the I, II, and III classes of the order in 2015, 2005, and 2020, respectively.
The Order “For Merit to the Fatherland” is a state award of the Russian Federation, granted for outstanding achievements related to strengthening statehood, socio-economic development, enhancing the country’s defense, scientific research, and the development of culture and arts. It is also awarded for exceptional sporting achievements and for fostering peace, friendship, and cooperation between nations.
