King Charles III grants knighthood to David Beckham

King Charles III of Great Britain has awarded the title of "Knight" to British football legend and former Manchester United star David Beckham.

Axar.az reports, citing the Daily Mail.

It was noted that the former footballer was awarded the title of "Knight" for his services to sport and charity:

"This award will be the culmination of a 14-year wait for Beckham, who was first nominated for the title of "Knight" in 2011 and was included in the official list of royal awards in the summer of 2025, on the occasion of the birthday of King Charles III."
