Cristiano Ronaldo announces upcoming retirement

Al-Nasr and Portugal striker Cristiano Ronaldo has announced that he will soon end his career.

Axar.az reports that he said this in an interview with journalist Piers Morgan.

Morgan asked the 40-year-old Ronaldo if he had any idea at what age he would end his career.

"Soon. But I think I will be ready for it. It will be difficult, yes, I will probably cry, it is completely normal. I am not ashamed of it, I am an open person," he said.

According to Ronaldo, he has been preparing himself for this since he was 25-27 years old and will be able to withstand the pressure.

"Of course, nothing will replace football, but I will have more time for myself, my family, and my children," the footballer added.

It should be noted that Ronaldo had previously stated that he would continue to play football as long as his health allows.
