Peace in Ukraine must be backed by strong guarantees

We continue to support the path toward peace in Ukraine. This peace must be sustainable and backed by strong security guarantees.

Axar.az reports that Austrian Foreign Minister Beate Meinl-Reisinger stated this.

The minister said that Russia’s aggressive war has fundamentally changed Europe. Ukraine has been suffering and enduring losses for more than 1,200 days.

She emphasized the importance of Russia sitting sincerely at the negotiating table and added that peace must be supported by lasting security guarantees:

“There can be no peace in Ukraine without Ukraine, and no security in Europe without Europeans. Austria will continue to support Ukraine, including Kyiv’s aspirations to join the European Union.”
