Germany to buy €3B worth of weapons and gear from Airbus

The German government will purchase new equipment as part of its large-scale military expansion.

Axar.az informs that Bloomberg reported that Germany plans to buy €3 billion worth of weapons and equipment from Airbus SE, including 20 light combat helicopters. The list also includes 100,000 night vision devices worth about €1 billion, to be supplied by Hensoldt AG and Theon International.

The Ministry of Defense is also seeking approval to acquire an additional €1.2 billion worth of IRIS-T SLM air defense missiles produced by Diehl.
