Iran approves removal of four zeros from rial

Iran has approved the denomination of its national currency.

Axar.az reports that the “Azad Iran” Telegram channel reported this information.

Hadi Tahan Nazif, spokesperson for the Guardian Council for the Implementation of the Constitution, stated that the Council has approved the removal of four zeros from the country’s national currency.

He added that these changes do not contradict Iranian laws or constitutional principles.

It should be noted that on October 5, the Iranian parliament approved a bill to remove four zeros from the national currency, the rial.
