Albania PM urges EU dialogue with Russia

The European Union should engage in dialogue with Russia because the United States is no longer a reliable partner.

Axar.az reports that Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama made this statement.

“If we are talking about the European Union, I believe the EU should talk to Russia and stop handing over its foreign policy to Washington. After all, Russia is a neighbor of the EU, not the US. And we must talk to our neighbors,” the prime minister said.

He also noted that Albania and Russia do not have close relations due to specific historical reasons, and there has been no official state visit between the two countries in 35 years.
