The European Union plans to discuss Ukraine’s accession to the bloc at the summit in Lviv in December.
Axar.az reports, citing Politico, that Brussels is preparing a new plan for Ukraine and Moldova to advance their EU membership. According to the plan, both countries will begin working on the practical reforms required for membership without waiting for formal EU approval. This approach would allow them to bypass Hungary’s veto rights.
The report notes that the EU hopes Hungary’s veto could be lifted if Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s party loses the parliamentary elections scheduled for April.
