Merz criticizes US boycott of G20 summit

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz criticized the U.S. government’s decision to boycott the G20 summit in Johannesburg.

Axar.az reports that the chancellor addressed the issue during a press conference after the summit.

“I think the decision not to be here was not a good one for the U.S. government. But the U.S. government itself must know that. Being here was good for us,” he said.

Note that the U.S. boycotted the current summit due to disagreements with the agenda.
