Black sea tanker attacks an assault on Turkiye's sovereignty

The attacks on tankers in the Black Sea amount to an assault on Turkiye’s sovereignty and on the property of the vessels’ owners, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday.

Axar.az informs, citing TASS, he added that the incident once again “reveals the true nature of the Kyiv regime.”

“An attack on commercial ships — on tankers, especially within Turkiye’s territorial waters — is an outrageous incident. It is an encroachment on the sovereignty of the Republic of Turkiye and on the safety and property of the shipowners. This yet again shows the true nature of the Kyiv regime,” Peskov said.

It should be noted that on November 28, in the Black Sea near the Turkish coast, the tankers Kairos and Virat, sailing under the Gambian flag toward Russia, were attacked by naval drones of the Ukrainian Navy. Both vessels sustained damage.
