US launches second wave of airstrikes against ISIS

The US Air Force has carried out a second wave of airstrikes in northern Syria against positions of the ISIS terrorist group in the past few hours.

Axar.az reports, citing Al Hadath TV, that the US conducted new attacks on ISIS shelters and headquarters. The main strikes targeted terrorist positions in the Deir ez-Zor region.

Additionally, US fighter jets hit ISIS bases near villages belonging to the cities of Homs and Raqqa, as well as near the city of Palmyra (Tadmur).

It should be noted that earlier, US Defense Secretary Pete Heget had announced that the country had launched an anti-terror operation against ISIS fighters in Syria.
