Russia urges restraint as Trump warns Iran of possible strike

Russia believes it is necessary to refrain from any actions that could escalate tensions in the Middle East.

Axar.az informs, citing TASS, this was stated by Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov during a briefing, commenting on remarks by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding potential strikes on Iran if Tehran attempts to revive its nuclear program.

“Of course, we will continue our contacts with all parties. We believe that any steps that could escalate tensions in the region should be avoided. And, above all, we think dialogue with Iran is essential,” Peskov said, adding that Moscow continues to develop constructive relations with Tehran, including efforts to reduce regional tensions.
